Who we are
TPLbuy.com and TPLrentals.com (together, “our platform”) are operated by Mike Douglass, based in Roxas City, Capiz, Philippines, as part of the That Philippines Life family of sites. Our platform covers three product types: property sales (TPLbuy.com), long-term rentals, and short-term stays (TPLrentals.com).
A single user account works across all three products, and this one privacy policy governs your data on every part of the platform.
What data we collect
We collect the information you give us when you:
- Create an account — name, email, account type (Buyer/Investor, Real Estate Agent, Property Owner, Tenant, Landlord).
- Post or edit a listing — property details, location, photos, contact methods you choose to publish (phone, email, Facebook, WhatsApp, Viber).
- Contact other users through the platform — messages, enquiry details.
- Join our pre-launch waitlist for any of the products — name, email, the account type you selected.
How we use it
We use this information to:
- Operate the platform — publish your listings, connect buyers/renters with owners and agents, send transactional emails (sign-in, enquiry notifications, listing status).
- Notify you about product launches and updates relevant to the account type you signed up under.
- Understand our audience so we can improve the platform.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or share your data with third parties. Email delivery is handled by Resend (resend.com), and photos you upload are hosted on Cloudinary. Contact details you choose to publish on a listing are visible to other users of the platform.
How to unsubscribe
Reply to any email from us with “unsubscribe”, or email [email protected].
How to request deletion
Email [email protected] and we will delete your account and associated data across all three products within 30 days.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking cookies, and no third-party analytics or advertising cookies are loaded on the platform.
